Randall Contracting, Inc. - Kellogg
Rob Randall’s experience at several construction firms and his business administration and environmental law studies at the University of Montana prepared him to operate his own business. He started his company, Randall Contracting, Inc., in 1999 in his home with $54 in his business checking account, a wealth of knowledge, and a commitment to restore nature back to a healthier state. In 2000, Randall sought business plan guidance from John Lynn, a counselor at the Idaho Small Business Development Center in Post Falls.
“He helped me put all my pieces together on paper so it was understandable to a banker,” Randall said. A line of credit helped Randall Contracting grow and hire an employee. Since then, Randall’s management skills have guided the company through explosive growth. He purchased another firm’s assets in 2002 and moved the business to Kellogg.
Randall Contracting is an SBA HUBZone contractor and does business in Montana, Idaho and Washington. The company provides remediation and reclamation services, such as residential or commercial hazardous soil removal and treatment, abandoned mine remediation, mine discharge treatment systems and hazardous waste repositories. The company is the prime contractor for remediation work at Bunker Hill, one of the United States’ largest Superfund sites. The company also provides heavy civil construction services. Clients include industrial, government and public agencies, municipalities and private firms.
The company expects 2005 revenues of $13 million and an increase in employees to 175 by 2006. The Small Business Administration recognized Rob Randall with the 2005 Idaho State Small Business Person of the Year award.
