Addison Collision Repair, Inc. - Twin Falls
Life is full of new opportunities. Jared Povey and Justin Simmons recognized their opportunity when a struggling body shop was foreclosed by a local bank and the equipment was to be sold at an auction.
Jared and Justin seized the opportunity to open their own repair shop. They knew in order to succeed they would have to stand out from the competition. To do that, they wanted an office and shop that were clean, well-organized, and professionally appealing; a place where customers would feel comfortable leaving one of their biggest investments in their care.
Jared and Justin recognized the need for well-trained technicians who were courteous and honest, with state-of-the-art equipment to handle any collision repair. There was also a great need to build relationships with the community and especially with insurance companies. Justin and Jared would be able to act as liaisons between customers and insurance companies to expedite the entire repair process.
With 23 years experience between them, they knew they still needed serious help setting up the business and getting plans in order. The team at the Idaho Small Business Development Center in Twin Falls offered the perfect solution. The Idaho SBDC helped create a business plan, with projections and estimates of potential growth for the new business. Jared and Justin were then able to approach lenders and investors and secure a line of credit with the Small Business Administration.
With the help of the Idaho SBDC, Jared and Justin were able to set goals that were challenging yet attainable. With a plan in place, and some further education and training provided by the Idaho SBDC, Addison Collision Repair grew to become a strong, secure company in the community, as well as providing jobs for eight people to provide for their families.
