Riedesel Engineering - Twin Falls

Marty Gergen began working with the Idaho Small Business Development Center (Idaho SBDC) as a NxLevel Business Planning Program student, working through the business planning process with two partners in a classroom setting.  Their concept was an engineering firm providing service for the Intermountain West.

Marty had been working as a successful Professional Engineer, but had always wanted to be an entrepreneur.  Upon completing the class with a fully developed business plan, the engineering firm was in operation. As the partners developed their business and the market evolved, the partners chose to go separate paths. Marty’s path led him to work with Riedesel Engineering, with the option to buy in as a corporate shareholder.

As Riedesel developed, the Idaho SBDC was able to assist in the areas of financial analysis and assisted in securing a $150,000 Line Of Credit with First Federal Bank of Twin Falls, Idaho. The firm specializes in airports, highways and land development. As a corporation, sales and employment continue to increase as the Twin Falls operation expands into Boise and other areas in the future.

Small Business Development Centers are a program supported by the U.S. Small Business Administration and extended to the public on a non-discriminatory basis.  SBA cannot endorse any products, opinions or services of any external parties or activities.
