October 18. Day 1 - Learn how to use payroll services through QuickBooks in this 2 part course. Local CPA, Su Brown, will introduce you to the structure of paychecks, employer and employee taxes, payroll forms and payment schedules. Setting up chart of accounts for payroll liabilities and salary/wage expense for easier management will be covered. You will also learn how to enter employees and timesheets; process paychecks and generate payroll forms and reports. Idaho and Washington payroll requirements will be discussed, as well as other payroll deductions. October 25, Day 2- You will continue to work on setting up employees correctly, adding payroll items, taxes and deductions, time tracking, generating payroll checks, and payroll reports. Gain further understanding of payroll expenses and liability accounts.
