National Manufacturing Day

Celebrate Manufacturing! National Manufacturing Day Events 2014 TechHelp and Boise State TECenter invite you to attend a celebration of all things manufacturing on National Manufacturing Day, Friday October 3. MFG DAY was started to help dispel misconceptions about manufacturing, and to provide an accessible venue for anyone who would like to learn about modern manufacturing. Attendees of MFG DAY include manufacturers, students, parents, educators, media, civic leaders, and local communities in general. Schedule of Events: 11:00am Tour of CWI Micron Center – 5725 E Franklin Rd, Nampa 11:30am Lunch and Manufacturing displays at TECenter – 5465 E Terra Linda Way, Nampa 12:00pm Program: • Resources for startups –TECenter and SBA • City of Nampa Loves Manufacturers - Mayor Bob Henry • Manufacturing Resources – TechHelp • New Association for Manufacturers – SWI-MA 12:45pm Presentation of Spirit of Continuous Innovation Award to Melni Connectors 1:00pm Tour of TECenter and networking Back by popular demand! Interactive displays from local manufacturers including everything from dancing robots to 3D printers. Resources for anyone interested in starting a business or prototyping a product will also be on hand.
