How to Get Paid for What You Do

You may be good at what you do, but no matter how good your product or services, you will not stay in business if you are not paid. We invite you to a crash course in accounts receivable recovery, starting with your initial customer contact. Topics covered will include the critical elements of getting paid: --Delivering value --Developing and implementing a solid credit policy --Consistent billing --Setting expectations for payment --A well trained staff --Basic accounts receivable management. Led by a licensed attorney, this will be an interactive session with the opportunity to share best practices. You will leave with a sample credit policy and plenty of practical ideas.

Speaker(s): G. Connie Runia is an attorney licensed in Oregon and Idaho. She earned her JD from Willamette University College of Law in 1986 and began her practice in Oregon with a large regional law firm with focus on business, banking, corporate finance and securities. Her practice later shifted to general business representation when she accepted a position as in-house counsel to a technology company. She most recently served as General Counsel to an Idaho third-party collection agency. She formerly served as Secretary/Treasurer of the Idaho Collectors Association, and nationally, she served as a member of the Ethics Committee of ACA International, the Association of Credit and Collections Professionals. Ms. Runia has her own law practice, On Track Legal Services PLLC, located in Meridian, Idaho and is part owner in On Behalf LLC, an outsource A/R company based in Meridian, Idaho, offering expertise in all stages of A/R management.
