2015

Are you a technologist or a person that has managed technology projects? Do you have a great idea based on technology, want to prove out your idea or build a prototype, but don't have the capital to do it? Come to the SBIR Road Tour to hear about America's Largest Seed Fund and learn how you can get funding to prove out your idea, and get on the road to commercializing your technology. The SBIR Road Tour is a national outreach effort to convey the non-dilutive technology funding opportunity provided through the Small Business Innovation Research (SBIR) and Small Business Technology Transfer (STTR) programs. Federal and State Program Managers representing the $2.5 billion in early stage funding have been invited to attend a series of events alongside technology entrepreneurs and innovation supporters from across the United States. Together these two programs represent America's Largest Seed Fund. Come listen to past awardees that have been successful in getting SBIR/STTR awards and making those awards work for their business. So, if you're an Innovator, Entrepreneur, Researcher, or Small Technology Firm, don't miss this opportunity, register today. Please note, seminar happens over a 2-day span: Aug. 20; 7 - 8:30pm - Preparation for Writing and Submitting an SBIR/STTR Proposal [MBEB Rm 2302 - Innovation Lab] Aug. 21; 8 - 10:30am - SBIR Presentations [ MBEB Rm 1301] 8:30 - Noon - 1-1's with SBIR Agency Program Managers [MBEB Rm 1100] Noon - 1pm - Lunch [MBEB TBD] 1pm - 2:00pm - Panel of Past SBIR Awardees [ MBEB Rm 1100] Ron Oberleitner - Behavior Imaging (Boise) - 2015 SBIR Tibbetts Award Winner Shawn Perkins - Advanced Ceramic Fibers (Idaho Falls) Jamie Hass - MJ3 Industries (Cataldo) Douglas Hackler - American Semiconductor (Boise) 2:00 - 3:30pm Networking
