Tue 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM

Does your business need a Point of Sale system or do you already have one and suddenly have to deal with EMV issues? Do you know what an EMV is? We can help! Whether you are searching for your first point of sale (POS) system or to upgrade an existing POS system, this workshop is designed to give you the tools to find the right system for your business or organization. Besides an overview of current and future POS technology, the impact of EMV will be discussed as well as the advantages and disadvantages between computer and mobile device based POS systems. Attendees will complete a worksheet to help calculate a point of sale budget and will also be provided with guidance on creating a weighted point spreadsheet used to compare and select the best POS solution. This workshop is completely vendor neutral and designed for owners or managers of retail stores, museums, food trucks, concession stands, restaurants, and bars

Speaker(s): Kevin Antosh: Besides 15 years of combined retail and restaurant management experience, Kevin worked in the POS industry for 14 years providing POS solutions to thousands of businesses and organizations. Since late 2013, Kevin has established a point of sale blog site and YouTube channel that offers free and unbiased point of sale advice and information.
