Best Practices & Compliance Assistance:A Certification/Re-certification Workshop for Auto Body Shops

NOTE: THERE HAS BEEN A CHANGE IN THE TIME OF THIS WORKSHOP- IT WILL BE HELD FROM 11:00 AM - 3:00 PM. This workshop combines classroom and hands-on training to assist in the compliance with federal and state requirements for paint stripping and surface coating operations in auto body shops. Operators will be trained in Spray Techniques Analysis and Research (STAR®) virtual reality program that addresses the following: • The importance of gun adjustments to achieve proper air and fluid pressure • The importance of good equipment maintenance • Calibration and use of the LaserTouch™ technology • Proper spray gun distance and orientation • Spray overlap and edge painting techniques to achieve maximum efficiency Participants completing the workshop will be provided with a certificate that demonstrates compliance with the training requirements of the federal Surface Coatings regulations.
